ADAPTIVE OPTICS

Correcting atmospheric distortion in real-time for resilient, high-bandwidth optical communication links

OVERVIEW

We solve the challenge of atmospheric interference in laser communication. This is achieved using fast-steering mirrors for small telescopes and deformable mirrors for large telescopes, ensuring reliable stable, high-bandwidth optical links.

HOW IT WORKS

As a laser beam travels through Earth's atmosphere, turbulence distorts the wavefront, degrading signal quality. Our adaptive optics system measures these distortions in real-time using wavefront sensors and corrects them with deformable or fast-steering mirrors, restoring the beam to near-diffraction-limited quality.
